OLFA L-SOL-10B 18mm Heavy-Duty Solid Silver Blade, 10 Pack

I go through a lot of blades cutting packing foam and rubber sheets, so buying a 10 pack made sense. These are noticeably thicker and stiffer than the standard 18mm blades and hold their edge well. Only wish the pack came with a small case for storing the spares, but honestly at $10 I can't complain. Will reorder.

I've been doing foam scenery work for 20 years and there's no substitute for these heavy duty blades. The solid silver ones don't snap or chip like the cheap imports. Buy once, buy right.

Solid blades, cuts thick EPS cleanly. However cutting abrasive fiberglass-backed foam dulled the edge quicker than I expected. Still a good value overall.

Needed something that would hold up slicing through dense EPP foam blocks for RC plane fuselages. These 18mm solid blades track straight and don't wander. One blade lasted me through an entire weekend build with no noticeable dulling. Highly recommend to fellow modelers.

Blades themselves work fine when sharp, but I found a chip on one edge out of the pack. Packaging could be better. Rest seem okay so far.

Worked forty years around cutting tools so I know quality steel when I see it. These are proper Japanese blades, uniformly ground and noticeably harder than the hardware store variety. I use them for cutting gasket material and dense rubber. Take my word, at ten dollars this pack is a bargain for anyone doing serious work.

The extended blade length combined with the solid construction lets me cut all the way through 3-inch foam in one pass. No snapping segments means no wasted material. This is my third pack and I keep coming back.
