Opinel No.04 Keychain Origins Folding Knife, Vintage Blue Handle – Warehouse Find Final Sale

This little No.04 lives on my keyring and gets more use than I expected—opening blister packs, trimming threads, slicing an apple. The vintage blue handle is gorgeous in person, deeper than the photos show. The Virobloc ring spins smooth and locks solid.

I was nervous ordering a warehouse find, but mine arrived essentially new, just an older box. The blade is genuinely tiny, about an inch of usable edge, so don't expect a workhorse. As a keychain knife that's the point, and it excels there.

Quality is typical Opinel, which is to say excellent for the money. But even as someone who read the specs, I was surprised how miniature this is in hand. My 40-year-old eyes struggle opening the collar. It's charming and I keep it, just size expectations matter.

Bought this for my grandson's fourteenth birthday because I've carried an Opinel since I was his age in the Auvergne. He was thrilled. The blue handle reminded me of the old ones from the sixties. Small blade, small hands, big smile.

Received it fast for a final-sale warehouse item. Edge came sharp enough to shave hair off my forearm, which honestly shocked me for a blade this size. Lock ring takes two hands, standard Opinel stuff. The vintage blue is a nice departure from the usual tan beech.

I've gone through dozens of keychain gadgets and this is the first one that's both cute AND functional. Trimmed a loose strap on my hiking boot last week, opened a bunch of letters, and it still looks sharp. The warehouse find discount made it a no-brainer.

Final sale, so I'm stuck with it. The knife is fine quality-wise but it's genuinely so small I can't comfortably grip it for anything beyond a letter opener. My mistake on sizing, but a warning to others: measure out what 4 cm really looks like.

The Origins line was discontinued so grabbing a warehouse find felt like treasure hunting. Blade centered nicely, action is smooth for a knife this age of design, and the blue is a muted navy-ish tone that looks fantastic against brass keys. Bought a second one before they vanish.

Gave it to my daughter who's always losing her pocketknife. It clips onto her lanyard and she uses it at the barn constantly. Only knock is the lock ring is stiff out of the box, though it's loosening with use.
