The knives themselves are classic Opinel — simple, sharp, and well made. However one of the smaller knives had a slightly rough spot on the handle out of the box. Still a good deal overall and my kids enjoy using the No. 2 and No. 4 for crafts under supervision.
I really wanted to love this set and the blades are sharp, but the wooden gift box had visible water staining on the lid and one handle looked darker than the rest. Cutter's Bench customer service was responsive, but for a gift item the condition was disappointing.
