Solid block with a nice heft and the angled top really is more convenient than a straight block. A few of the slots are snug on my wider chef's knives, though they seem to be loosening slightly with use. Overall very happy for the price.
Finally replaced my sad old plastic block with this. The acacia finish matches my cutting boards nicely and it doesn't slide around at all. Docking one star because the label was glued on and left some residue, but it cleaned up fine.
I cook a lot and my knife collection finally outgrew my old 12-slot block. This one holds everything, including my bread knife and boning knives, without blades touching. The feet are genuinely non-skid. Wood grain is attractive, maybe slightly darker than the photos but that's a matter of taste.
Quality is there, no doubt. Just note the footprint is fairly compact, so bigger chef's knives stick out a bit more than in my old block. Still functional and looks nice.

I was storing my knives loose in a drawer which is bad for the blades and my fingers. This block solved that completely. It's heavy enough that it doesn't tip when I pull a knife out, and the wood has a warm, premium look. Only wish it had a slot for my kitchen shears.
Nice wood, good weight, and the non-skid feet work. Some of my knives with thicker handles sit a bit loosely in the slots. Fine for most standard handles though.
