Opinel Natural Leather Sheath — Collection France Cognac Flap-Closure Knife Sheath by BIG-GAME

This sheath is genuinely lovely. The Italian-tanned leather has a rich, warm cognac tone that photographs don't quite capture, and the flap closure snaps securely over my No. 8 Opinel. The stitching is tight and even — clearly handmade with care. It's softened beautifully over two months of pocket carry. Feels like an heirloom piece for $21.50.

The leather was stiff out of the box and the flap took a week to break in. Now it's perfect — the knife clicks in securely and the sheath has developed a nice patina. Would recommend to any Opinel owner.

Handsome sheath with quality stitching and a lovely smell. After about three months of daily use, the flap closure doesn't snap quite as firmly as it did on day one. Still holds the knife fine for belt carry, but I'm slightly cautious on hikes. Quality leather though, and it's aging gracefully otherwise.

I'm in my sixties and grew up with leather sheaths like this before everything went to nylon and plastic. The craftsmanship here took me right back — thick, supple leather, hand-finished edges, and a closure that works. It protects the blade of my folder perfectly and looks better every month. Worth every cent.

Honestly my Opinel is a $15 knife, but this sheath makes carrying it feel special. The cognac color gets compliments and the leather smells fantastic. Only docked a star because I wish the belt loop were removable for pocket carry. Minor quibble on an otherwise excellent accessory.

The handcrafting is evident in every stitch, and the flap closure keeps grit and moisture away from the blade. For a French-made, Italian-tanned leather product at this price, it's honestly a bargain. Highly recommended.
