Overall I like it — the design is clever and the green finish is attractive. However my unit has a small amount of lateral play when locked that I didn't expect from Opinel's reputation. It doesn't affect light cutting tasks and I'm probably being picky, but for a safety-critical tool I notice it. Might just be mine. Customer service was responsive when I asked about it.
Loved the knife for the first month — sharp, locks well, everything I wanted. Then the whistle stopped producing sound; seems like the internal piece shifted or broke. The blade and tick tool still work fine but I bought partly for the safety features. Returning for an exchange and hoping the next one holds up.
