Forged Wüsthof knives at this price? Unheard of. The 9-inch cook's knife alone is worth it.

I've been cooking seriously for about three years with a mishmash of budget knives, and this set was my graduation moment. The difference is staggering. The 9-inch cook's knife is my daily driver now — it rocks smoothly, the PEtec edge bites into onions instead of crushing them, and the bolster feels secure even when my hands are wet. The santoku is fantastic for vegetable work and the utility knife handles everything in between. The block is sturdy and matches my walnut-toned kitchen. My only warning: sharpen the honing steel technique first thing, because these edges deserve proper care. Best kitchen purchase I've made.

My husband and I registered for cheaper sets and I'm glad nobody bought them, because I would have spent years regretting it. We put this on the registry instead and it's been the standout of our kitchen. Six months in, zero complaints, edges still scary sharp with regular honing.

I mostly bought this set for the 7-inch santoku and it has exceeded expectations. Dicing a whole week's worth of vegetables takes half the time it used to. The Epicure handle shape is more comfortable than the classic line for my smaller hands. Shears are surprisingly robust too — they spatchcocked a chicken with no drama.

These are properly forged, properly sharp German knives. Just note it's a curated set — no paring knife and no bread knife, so check the lineup against your needs. For what's included, the value is absurd. The block looks great too.

The blades are outstanding and hold their edge well with weekly steeling. My one gripe is the utility knife feels slightly redundant next to the chef's, but it's handy for small tasks anyway. Shipped quickly and well protected.

Been cooking for my family of five for two decades and finally upgraded from a department store set. Night and day. Only wish the block had a couple more slots so I could add a bread knife later.

Quality is unquestionable, but six pieces is a modest set. If you cook a lot of bread or want a paring knife, budget for additions. No regrets exactly, just not a complete collection.

The blades are excellent, no complaints there. The Epicure handles are slimmer and more forward-weighted than I'm used to, and two weeks in I'm still adapting. Might be a non-issue for others.

The knives themselves deserve five stars, but the block showed up with a chip on the front corner. For something this discounted I expect careful packing. Waiting on a replacement block — will update if it goes smoothly.
