Wüsthof cutlery is crafted to resist corrosion and dulling, with full-tang construction for balance and strength.
Works for mincing, slicing, dicing, and peeling; fits any kitchen setup and complements chef's knife and paring knife collections.
Versus the Classic 4.5" utility, this Asian-style curved edge adds rocking-cut agility. Versus paring knives, it adds heft for medium tasks. If you want one do-it-all small knife, this is the pick.

The 5" Asian-style curved blade adds rocking-cut agility and mini cook's knife performance, while the 4.5" straight utility is a simpler straight-edge option at a similar affordable value.

I didn't think I needed this knife but now I reach for it constantly. The curve of the blade makes a rocking chop motion really easy, and it handles everything from scallions to chicken thighs. It's nimble and the tip is perfect for detail work. The full tang gives it a nice balance and the Classic handle is comfortable even after long prep sessions. Honestly it fills the gap between a paring knife and a chef's knife better than anything I've owned.
Sharp out of the box, holds its edge beautifully, and the curved profile is surprisingly versatile. Great little knife for the price.
I have small hands and full-size chef's knives always felt awkward. This 5-inch blade is much more comfortable to control. It's not as tall so big chopping jobs take a bit longer, but for daily veg and small meat tasks it's perfect.
Cuts like a dream. Peeling, slicing, mincing — it does it all.
No complaints about quality — the steel and edge are exactly what you'd expect from Wüsthof. But I find I still grab my chef's knife for most tasks. This one shines for delicate work like peeling shallots and trimming meat, so it depends on your cooking style.
This little knife is a workhorse. The curved edge lets you rock through herbs without lifting the blade, and the sharp tip peels ginger and shallots with zero effort. My sister and my neighbor both tried mine and immediately asked where I got it. Can't recommend it enough.
The edge is razor sharp and the handle is grippy even with wet hands. Just note it's not dishwasher safe like all quality knives, so hand wash and dry it. For the price it's a steal.
Been using this almost daily for three months now. The blade still shaves paper. The 5-inch length is the sweet spot — big enough for real prep, small enough for control. Wüsthof earns its reputation.
Disappointed — mine arrived with what looked like a small chip near the tip. Cutting performance was still good but I expected better QC at this price. Seller handled the exchange quickly, and the replacement has been fine, so maybe I just got unlucky with the first one.
I do a lot of small-batch cooking and this knife is ideal. Peeling apples, trimming silver skin, hulling strawberries — the fine sharp point does it all. The curve also makes it great for slicing shallots into thin rings. One of the most useful knives in my drawer.
